Kingspan's range of trapezoidal roof and wall panels and architectural wall panels are now available with a cost effective FIREsafe core through the use of Kingspan ECOsafe insulated panels.

Kingspan's new ECOsafe insulated panels use an environmentally sustainable FIREsafe PIR insulation core and deliver an 'A' rating according to the Green Guide to Specification. They contain no CFC's or HCFC's and have a low Global Warming Potential (GWP). Kingspan ECOsafe panels can also deliver a cost effective solution where a fire wall specification is required.

Rail spacings increased by 50%

Thanks to the enhanced performance of the ECOsafe panels, a 50% saving is possible on rails due to rail centres only needing to be positioned at 4m centres instead of 2m as is necessary with the standard Kingspan FIREsafe PIR core. This saving provides a cost effective solution to achieving firewall specifications.

Historically, to achieve an EXT-A15 rating according to LPS1181 with the use of Kingspan's range of architectural wall panels, including Kingspan Optimo™, an 80mm insulation core and an internal flashing plate would be required. This is no longer the case with the Kingspan ECOsafe core, the insulation depth is reduced to 70mm and the need for an internal flashing plate is negated.

These enhanced benefits make the Kingspan ECOsafe core a viable and cost effective solution for specifications where fire resistance is essential.
