Biological
Kingspan panels are normally immune to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used in the construction, and the panels are not considered deleterious.
Fire
Steel and aluminium outer and inner facings have Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS 476: Part 7: 1987, and are Class 0, as defined by Building Regulations.
KS600/900/1000 MR/EB/FL-S/MM/CX/WV are available with LPCB certification and KS900/1000 MR/EB/FL-S insurer approved panels are available with FM certification, with steel facings. Firewall specifications to provide fire resistance ratings to BS 476: Part 22: 1987 are available on request from Kingspan Envirocare Technical Services or visit our web site at www.kingspanpanels.com
Acoustics
KS600/900/1000 MR/EB/FL-S/MM/CX/WV panels comply with Building Regulations Part E for non-domestic buildings. For residential, domestic, education and healthcare building applications, BB93 and HTM 2045 solutions, consult Kingspan Envirocare Technical Services.
All KS600/900/1000 MR/EB/FL-S/MM/CX/WV panels have a single figure weighted sound reduction Rw = 25dB.
