A new product from Kingspan Insulated Panels is set to light up the cladding industry. The Kingspan Wall-Lite is a translucent wall panel that allows natural daylight into buildings, whilst maintaining thermal efficiency and aesthetic appearance.

Energy consumption through artificial lighting can be reduced by increasing levels of natural light within a building. Furthermore, a number of studies suggest that increased natural light can have a positive effect on people’s mood and work rate.

The Kingspan Wall-Lite offers excellent interior levels of natural light without compromising the performance of the building. This can help to lower both energy bills and CO2 emissions, whilst allowing occupants to enjoy high levels of daylight. The daylighting system need not restrict design options either, exciting and individual buildings can easily be created.

Importantly, with a superior U-value performance of 1.26 W/m².K and minimal air permeability this product complies with Part L2 (England and Wales) Building Regulations and Section 6 (Scotland) Technical Handbooks.

Kingspan Wall-Lite is available in a range of colours, with UV resistance and a high degree of colour fastening meaning it will not discolour over time. Precise factory manufacturing ensures excellent integration with other products such as Kingspan’s Architectural Wall Panel and Optimo™ cladding systems, as well as Kingspan's range of architectural facade systems allowing greater design flexibility.

The Kingspan Wall-Lite is a single component system and does not require glazing experience to fit, thereby reducing installation times and the need to rely on skilled sub-contractors. This lightweight and durable product has a life expectancy of up to 25 years, and is fully recyclable when end of life is reached to ensure minimal environmental impact.
