Looking Good With Kingspan Thermatallic
Kingspan Insulated Panels have made a new addition to their range of architectural façade systems. Kingspan Thermatallic allows the installation speed and thermal performance of a Kingspan Insulated Panel to be combined with the striking flatness and crisp lines of an ACM façade.
Underneath the attractive facade lies a high performance insulated panel, with factory formed jointing and a PIR ECOsafe low GWP insulation core that can achieve U-values as low as 0.23 W/m2K. Fitted on-site to a Kingspan PIR composite insulated panel system, Kingspan Thermatallic offers a number of key benefits to help streamline the construction programme. Importantly, it affords single point responsibility for installation of the entire wall, reducing the need for specialist contractors and speeding build time in comparison with traditional façade systems.
Faster installation means a weatherproof envelope can be quickly built, leading to internal trades getting onsite sooner and further savings in time. As part of a composite construction system, excellent thermal performance (guaranteed for up to 25 years) and low air leakage rates are easily achieved – both crucial factors considering the importance of good Energy Performance Certificate and Display Energy Certificate ratings.
Kingspan Thermatallic is approved by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and fully tested to CWCT standards. It is fibre-free, removing the risk of loose fibres being released and compromising hygiene standards.
Comprehensive support from drawing board to site installation is provided for all Kingspan products by Kingspan envirocare technical services, who specialise in helping with building regulations and sustainability.
Kingspan’s architectural façade systems offer an attractive selection of high quality finishes. Other products in the Therma range include Kingspan Thermastone and Kingspan Woodtherm, which can be used in conjunction with Kingspan Thermatallic to offer design flexibility and visual impact.
