Kingspan's New Rooflight System

Kingspan Insulated Panels have added further design flexibility to their range of products with the introduction of a new rooflight panel. The Kingspan Upstand Rooflight system has been developed to provide increased daylighting for Kingspan’s range of insulated panels, including the Kingspan Roof Tile system, Kingzip standing seam, Lo-Pitch and KS1000 FC Box Profile panel.

The Kingspan Upstand Rooflight is factory fitted into the insulated panel offsite, so the complete panel system is delivered onsite ready to install. This means that the time spent working at height is reduced, helping to improve site safety and comply with the Working at Height Regulations.

Manufactured from polycarbonate and classed as non-fragile by the HSE, the system can be installed quickly whilst precise factory-based manufacturing techniques ensures optimal weatherproofing performance.  

The Kingspan Upstand Rooflight also offers excellent light transmittance and diffusion characteristics to maximise levels of daylight, with a UV protected outer layer on both sides for increased durability. The product is clear in finish and is available in panel lengths from 1.8m to 6m.

With a thermal performance of 1.84 W/m²K there will be no undue effect on heating costs or Building Regulations compliance. Furthermore, Kingspan Upstand Rooflight is fully recyclable, thereby minimising the environmental impact at end-of-life.
